"The Expedition 8000 is our warmest suit, built for the most extreme conditions, whether you're summiting an 8000m peak or crossing the polar ice caps. Filled with 850FP goose down and built with robust and weather resistant Pertex® Quantum Pro outer fabric, this suit has been developed to retain heat in the world’s coldest environments.

A downproof Pertex® Quantum lining and boxwall baffle construction with differential cut maximise loft to improve heat retention. The down extends into a helmet compatible hood, which has a wired peak and adjustable fit to keep the heat in and the weather out.

Providing refuge in harsh conditions, the suit has space to accommodate bulky layers and has been optimised for articulation, enabling freedom of movement on challenging terrain. It has a five zipped side vent extending from the ankle all the way to the wrist which allows for superior air flow control, ideal for when the sun comes up. Featuring an extended length two-way front zip (ideal for relief), multiple pockets, internal adjustable support braces and mitt compatible oversized features, this suit has been refined to cope with the demands of expeditions.

Sellers notes: We bought this one at auction; the tags were present but they were in poor condition (looks like someone made a pigs ear of removing a security tag) so we've removed them. For arguments sake, we've reattached the only tag that was in decent condition - the down certification tag. Either way, we don't believe this is strictly brand new and as such, we are listing as used. Two reasons. One, slight discolouration around the seams in places (example - last picture), though some of what we can see appears to be darker down underneath the Pertex (clumping can often be visible on colours like light yellow and disperses after a wash). Two, defect on the lip of the right chest pocket (second to last picture) which is purely aesthetic and will not affect use. Other than that, it doesn't appear to have been used - certainly not for an expedition. The overall condition and presence of the tags makes us think this was probably a test model and has not had serious use.
